child handing out water at aid stationPutting on a marathon requires hundreds of volunteers for a variety of jobs, including (but not limited to) setting up equipment, handing out water at aid stations, manning road crossings, providing radio communications and medical support, and welcoming runners at the finish line with space blankets and tasty refreshments.

Fortunately, Marquette area residents are not only experienced at helping to put on great outdoor events, they’re enthusiastic about pitching in! The outpouring of community support that the race has received in its first two years has been appreciated by organizers and noticed by runners who have specifically cited great volunteers when providing feedback on the event.

Running in the race but still want to help? We also need volunteers to help with preparations leading up to the race, such as preparing race bags, packet pick-up, and assisting with the Friday night Kids Run.
